Master Batch Method
  1. Check that no other stocktake batches already exist in the system:
  1. Create a master batch with all items for the warehouse:

  1. In the Create Stocktake Batch screen, select Use Original Stock on Hand as the Stocktake Method and leave all other options as the default.

  1. Create the item list:

  1. Post the master batch to the paperless queue so the smaller sub-batches can be posted to the master batch to create the detailed variance reports:
  1. Create the sub-batches.
  1. In the Create Stocktake Batch screen, select Add to Existing Batches as the Stocktake Method and set the other options as required (refer to "Creating a New Stocktake Batch" for an explanation of the other fields).

  1. Create the item list then zero the SOH quantities:

  1. Print the count sheets and perform the physical count:
  1. When the physical count is complete for each sub-batch, recall the sub-batch to enter the  new quantities:

  1. Enter the count quantity for each item in the Enter Stocktake Line screen:

 

Technical Tip

If you have multi bins enabled, you need to double click on a bin at the right of the screen and enter the counted quantity in the New Quantity field, then repeat for each bin for each item.

  1. Post the sub-batch to the master batch.
  1. When all sub-batches have been completed and posted to the master batch, you can recall the master batch and print a Stocktake Processing Report to view variances:

  1. Micronet can then produce variance reports and variance batches using a number of selectable parameters so recounts can be performed and posted to the Second Count field:

  1. When all required variance batches are complete and the stocktake figures are acceptable, you can post the master batch:

 

Optional alternative process if PDAs are used

From step 6, the sub-batches are created on PDA units. Refer to "Mobile Stocktake - Micronet Procedures" for further information on using PDAs for stocktakes.
